How do pay per click ads work?
|
Pay per click ads are an inexpensive method of advertising, and are very popular among big and small business alike. With pay per click ads, you don't pay a monthly advertising fee and you can discontinue the service whenever you want. You're not under contract, and have the flexibility to change your ad whenever you want. One of the most popular pay per click programs available is Google Adwords. Anyone that uses the Internet knows that Google is one of the most frequently used search engine. Google works in conjunction with Google Adwords, making any ad that you place on Google Adwords highly visible. When you set up your Google Adwords account, you select keywords you want customers to use to find you. For example, if you sell flowers, you could select words such as "florists, floral arrangements, flowers, etc." If you don't know which keywords to use, Google will make suggestions. When people do a web search using Google's search engine, websites appear on both the left and right side of the computer screen. The ads on the right side are all Google Adwords ads. Anytime you click on one of those ads, the is billed a minimal fee; about one cent per click. To be fair, Google shifts the ads around, giving all their Adwords customers an equal opporunity at exposure.
